Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions – Refined Floors Ltd

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, sales, supply, delivery, and fitting services provided by Refined Floors Ltd (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order, you (“the Customer”) agree to these terms.

1. Quotations

1.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

1.2 Quotes are based on information available at the time and may change if measurements, specifications, or site conditions differ.

1.3 Errors or omissions may be corrected at any time.

2. Orders & Acceptance

2.1 An order is confirmed once the Customer accepts the quotation and any required deposit is paid.

2.2 Changes requested after confirmation may affect price, lead time, and fitting dates.

2.3 We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders where products become unavailable or pricing errors occur.

3. Deposits & Payment

3.1 A deposit may be required to secure materials, bookings, or special-order items.

3.2 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the balance is due on completion of fitting or prior to delivery for supply-only orders.

3.3 Late payments may result in delayed installation, withheld delivery, or recovery action.

4. Made to Measure / Special Orders

4.1 Flooring that is cut to size, specially ordered, or customised for the Customer is non-returnable and non-refundable unless faulty or not as described.

4.2 Customers are responsible for approving colours, styles, quantities, and specifications before ordering.

5. Surveys & Measurements

5.1 Where we measure on site, dimensions are taken as accurately as reasonably possible.

5.2 Hidden defects, uneven floors, moisture issues, or subfloor problems discovered later may require additional work and charges.

6. Installation / Fitting

6.1 Installation dates are estimates and may change due to supplier delays, illness, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.

6.2 Customers must provide safe access, clear working areas, electricity, and reasonable site conditions.

6.3 Unless agreed otherwise, furniture moving, appliance disconnection/reconnection, and removal of personal items remain the Customer’s responsibility.

6.4 Additional preparation work identified during fitting may be chargeable.

7. Delivery

7.1 Delivery dates and times are estimates only.

7.2 Customers must inspect goods on delivery and notify us of shortages, damage, or incorrect items within 48 hours.

7.3 If delivery cannot be completed due to no access or no one present, re-delivery charges may apply.

8. Product Variation

8.1 Natural and manufactured flooring products may vary in shade, texture, pattern, or batch. Samples are indicative only.

8.2 Seams, joins, plank repeats, pile shading, and normal tolerances are not faults where industry acceptable.

9. Waste & Uplift

9.1 Old flooring uplift and disposal must be agreed in advance.

9.2 Existing floors may conceal defects that become visible only after removal.

10. Cancellations

10.1 Orders for bespoke or made-to-measure goods may not be cancelled once materials are ordered or cut.

10.2 For standard stock items, cancellation rights may apply under UK consumer law depending on how the order was placed.

10.3 Any costs already incurred may be deducted where legally permitted.

11. Warranty & Defects

11.1 Manufacturer warranties apply to products where offered by the manufacturer.

11.2 Installation concerns must be reported within 7 days of completion.

11.3 We must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect and remedy any genuine fault.

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or delays outside our reasonable control.

12.2 Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded, including death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights.

13. Ownership of Goods

13.1 Goods remain the property of the Company until paid for in full. Risk passes on delivery or installation.

14. Data Protection

14.1 Customer information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws and used for fulfilling orders, administration, and customer service.

15. Complaints

15.1 Complaints should be raised promptly with order details and photographs where relevant so we can investigate.

16. Governing Law

16.1 These terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the relevant UK nation.
